Absentee Bid Policies

NOTE: All absentee bidding at the 9/28/24 Auction is subject to a                  20% Buyer's Premium

All absentee bids must be received no later than NOON (Eastern Time) on the Friday prior to the auction (9/27/24). Sorry, absentee bidding is not available at our country auctions or Estate Sales. If you have missed the absentee window, you may call during regular business hours for possible inclusion in the bidding process.

* To bid absentee, please complete the form to the right>>>>, entering your maximum bid for the individual item(s). Please place a "0" or "x" in any blank bid boxes before you click on "SUBMIT". When bidding on more than seven items, please submit additional Absentee Bidding Forms.

* If you wish to submit your absentee bids by phone please call us at 517-243-9090 between 9am and 6pm (Eastern) Mon though Friday. If the lines are busy, please leave a message and we will return your call as soon as practical. 

*Americana Auctions reserves the right to limit absentee bidding, reject any bid not in line with the value of the item, and refuse bids on auction lots that may be flawed or damaged.

Additional absentee bids may be submitted on additional forms.
 
We accept absentee bids via phone up to FRIDAY NOON the day prior to the auction.

After we receive your "Absentee Bid" you may receive a phone call from one of our staff  to confirm your bid and to obtain Credit Card and additional payment information. Unless you have a permanent credit card on file, you must provide a valid credit card prior to the auction. Failure, or refusal, to do so will negate all of your submitted absentee bids.

Immediate payment via valid credit card is required at the completion of successful bidding. Subsequent shipping fees (via USPS)  will be charged to a valid credit card as soon as practical.

No absentee bids will be accepted in amounts less than $50.00 without prior consent of the auction firm. When two or more absentee bids exist for any one item, the minimum the item could sell for (via absentee) must be no less than the amount of the lowest absentee bid plus one additional bid increment. It will be the responsibility of the absentee bidder to obtain a condition report for any and all lots on which the absentee bidder intends to place an absentee bid.

By placing an absentee bid, a person or organization placing the absentee bids(s) agrees that he/she or organization is satisfied that the condition of the item, on which the bid is placed, is satisfactory and meets the minimum requirements of the bidder. The absentee bidder agrees that any absentee bid placed on any item signifies that the bidder holds the auction firm free of any subsequent claim regarding the condition of the auction item.

The absentee bidder acknowledges that he/she or the organization leaving the bid(s) has the right to examine the item in person prior to the auction or may have a representative examine the item on the bidder's behalf prior to the auction.

Special Note: Bids received from the auction floor in live bidding on the day of the auction will take precedence over identical absentee bids. Payment for successful Absentee Bidding must include a 20% buyers premium. Successful absentee bids must include a phone number or other method for immediate contact.
