Art Pottery: Headlining this auction is a 100+ piece collection of Roseville, Rookwood, Weller, VanBriggle, Door, and Moorcroft art pottery. Additionally, we will offer an excellent grouping of framed Victorian art tiles.
Art Glass & Lighting: We have received a very nice selection of Lundberg, Lotton, Radke, Handel, and Pittsburg art glass: Handel, Pittsburgh, Victorian and other and lamps; Stueben (Aurene and crystal) art glass: Victorian art glass; Victorian stained glass table and floor lamps; Contemporary art glass by Lundberg, Costa Boda, Eickholt and others; Tiffin art glass cane… Watch as we add more details about this exciting collection.
Fine Art: We are pleased to offer a rare opportunity to purchase from a great selection of art highlighted by a well-documented bronze by Detroit favorite Marshall Fredericks, Large-format museum deaccessioned watercolor by Raffaele Mainella (1858-1907), and a pair of dramatic oils by F. Additions to or withdrawal from sale: The auctioneer reserves the right to withdraw from sale any of the items listed, or to sell at this auction items not listed. The auctioneer further reserves the right to group one or more lots into one or more selling lots, or to divide any one lot into two or more selling lots. Whenever the best interest of the seller will be served, the auctioneer reserves the right to sell all of the items listed in bulk.
Dispute between bidders: If any dispute arises between two or more bidders, the auctioneer will settle said dispute or may immediately put the disputed lot up for resale to the highest bidder. The decision of the auctioneer shall be final and absolute.
Reserve: The auctioneer reserves the right to reject any and all bids. On lots upon which there is a reserve, the auctioneer shall have the right to bid on behalf of the seller.
Condition of items sold: The auctioneer shall not be responsible for the correct description, authenticity, genuineness of, or defect in any lot, and makes no warranty in the connection therewith. Bidders at the auction will be responsible for determining the condition and value of the items presented for auction. By bidding, the potential buyer signifies that he/she has examined the auction lot and is satisfied with the condition of the item on which they are bidding.
No allowance will be made or sale set aside on account of any incorrectness, error in cataloging, or any imperfection not noted. No deduction will be allowed on damaged articles as all goods being exposed for public exhibition are sold "as is" and without recourse.
Time of payment: All purchases must be paid in full before the end of the auction day and prior to shipment to absentee buyer.
Manner of payment: All bills must be paid to representatives of the auctioneer at the auction unless otherwise announced. The full purchase price on all lots sold to the same buyer must be paid within the time fixed and before removal of any of the items.
Compliance with terms of sale: In default of payment of bills in full within the time herein specified, the auctioneer, in addition to other remedies allowed by law, may retain all moneys received, as deposit or otherwise, as liquidated damages. Lots not paid for and removed within the time specified herein may be resold at public or private sale without further notice, and deficiency, together with all expenses and charges of re-sale, will be charged to the defaulting purchaser.
Additional terms and conditions: Any additional terms or conditions of sale may be announced prior to auction.
Removal: Removal shall be at the expense, liability, and risk of the purchaser. Purchases will be delivered only on presentation of paid bill. Auctioneer shall not be responsible for goods not removed with-in the time specified, and shall have the option of removing and storing at the expense and risk of the purchaser any article purchased, but not paid for and removed within the specified time.
Non-delivery responsibility: Auctioneer shall not, in any event, be liable for non-delivery or for any other matter or thing, to any purchaser of any lot, other than for the return to the purchaser of the deposit or sum paid on said lot, should the purchaser be entitled to it.
Claims: No claims of any nature will be allowed after goods are removed from premises.
Personal and property risk: Persons attending during exhibition, sale or removal of goods assume all risks of damage of or loss to person and property and specifically release the auctioneer from liability therefore. Neither the auctioneer nor his principal shall be liable by reason of any defect in or condition of the premises on which the sale is held.
Records: The record of sale kept by the auctioneer and bookkeeper will be taken as final in the event of any dispute.
Agency: The auctioneer is acting as agent only and is not responsible for acts of its principals and consignors, nor descriptions provided by the consignors/sellers.
Shipping Information: Unless otherwise agreed to, all shipping, handling and insurance charges will be the sole responsibility of the successful high bidder. All shipping from Americana Auctions to the successful bidder will be via United States Postal Service (USPS) Priority mail, insured. At buyer request, auction lots may be picked up from the Auction Company at the convenience of Americana Auctions.
The successful absentee bidder must make full payment for the item prior to shipment of the item to the buyer.
Americana Auctions Firearms Policy
Based on Michigan law, Federal Laws (as they pertain to Sales of Estate firearms), and the rights of Americana Auctions…
1. Americana Auctions (at our sole discretion) will not sell automatic, modern
military, altered, military-style, non-sporting, or non-antique/collectible
firearms.
2. No firearm will be sold to individuals who are not 21 years of age and a
resident of the State of Michigan.
3. No firearm will be sold to anyone not in attendance at the auction where the
firearm is being sold.
4. No firearm will be sold to anyone who cannot or will not certify that he/she
is not subject to restrictions based on criminal history, mental health
history, or any other disqualifying factor(s) as determined by Americana
Auctions management.
5. No firearms of any variety will be sent or transported over state lines by any
Americana Auctions personnel or representatives.
6. Successful bidders must provide proper identification to the satisfaction of
Americana Auctions.
Americana Auctions does not (and will not) sell handguns that are not antique, black power, or of special historical/collectible significance. Americana Auctions does not sell or offer ammunition inconsistent with this policy.
